Topsy Turvy Tomatoes

The Topsy Turvy Tomato is growing like crazy! I was getting a little concerned because it was getting so leggy, but without a lot of blooms or even leaves. But this last week it has laid all my fears to rest and started blooming with a vengeance.

I feel like such a proud mama here......this is my very first microscopic tomato on the Topsy Turvy! And...wait for it...we have 10 microscopic tomatoes on this plant! Who would've ever thought when I first hung this plant under the eaves of our house that it would actually work? As seen on tv - I give Topsy Turvy a hearty thumbs up.

This little beauty is actually the first tomato that appeared in my 'garden', which of course consists of the Topsy Turvy and three cat litter buckets. Looking very good!

Another cat litter tomato plant and this view shows five microscopic tomatoes. There are actually nine on this plant.

We've become somewhat of an Oliver and Lisa with these plants, though really that's not entirely true since it was sort of my baby. But surprisingly Keith has jumped in with both feet. Each day after work we go outside to 'check on the plants'.

For those that have had vegetable gardens or even just a few tomato plants - I wonder if the thrill is still there or if you just take it all in stride. It's really quite exciting to see the fruits of our labor - if you can call watering each night labor! :)

Thanks for the report. I've been thinking about one of those. I bet you don't get "slugs" with those.

Thank you for sharing your progress on the topsy turvy tomatoes. Someone in our neighborhood has 3 of them and when we walk by their house my daughter points them out and wants to try them. Next year we will...just for fun! We're slower in the Northwest than you are and our tomatoes are just putting on buds. We really can't plant until the first of May. I'm jealous and my mouth is watering looking at your tomatoes!

I can't believe how big your tomatoes are and that you have so many. We have one big cuck and 2 smaller ones not ready to pick yet and a ton of baby ones. Hopefully they will sprout real soon.

I am so impressed. I've seen this advertise and it's great to know it works. Thanks for the pictures of the tomatoes.

My husband (as you know) has a huge garden. I say "he" because he does all the work. I cook though and cook it up good. :)
We only can beets and pickled okra and freeze corn. The rest is eat and give away. It gives us great pride in the summer when we get all those veggies and we sit down for supper and say "Every bit of this came from our garden." Everything tastes so much better home grown.

Y'all are Oliver and Lisa and we are Granny & Jed Clampet. :) That's the way I felt Mon. when hubby was cooking those beets outside. Ha!

Talk to ya soon!

I've been out of blogging commmision for awhile, and am catching up on my blog reading.
