Socks Of Kindness

My current knitting project! I first did this sock on two circs to
show that method to the girls at work. I showed them, got down to
about the heel and then decided to frog the whole thing and start over
on dpn's, my preferred method. It' going MUCH faster for me now. :)

The pattern is Socks of Kindness and the yarn is some that my mom gave
me some time ago - we think it's a Lorna's Lace yarn.

Happy Anniversary!

28 years ago a young girl and a young man were married in a little bitty church in a little bitty town in New Mexico.
Today that couple is blissfully happy, with two grown children, a daughter-in-law, a precious granddaughter, a golden retriever and a cat.
We're going out to eat tonight, though we're not sure where yet. And when we were talking this morning about the fact that we've been married for 28 years we realized that saying that makes us sound pretty old! :)
I've always said that laughter is what makes a great relationship. The two of us are able to laugh a LOT about just about everything. Last night we took the dog for a walk and I was trying to tell Keith an absolutely fascinating story about something that had happened at work that day - ;) - and he got to teasing me and I was laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my cheeks. Yep, a joyful heart and goofy husband is a blessing indeed.

SC169

I am so late posting this to my blog! I made this card almost two weeks ago for the SC169 card sketch on splitcoast. Trying to get out of my card making block and of course sketches are a great way to do that.

Brooklyn Crawling

This short video was taken during a family baby shower, so you can hear lots of chitter chatter in the background. But isn't she a doll? :)

And let me add that she was dressed so cute. But she had a lot of grandmas and aunts and cousins watching her learn how to crawl and we figured out she got better traction without the pants!

My Morning

Here's what I'm doing this morning! James had a test and Loni had a
dentist appointment, so Keith and I came over to watch Little Bit. I
guarantee we got the better end of the deal. :)

Another Quick Check In!

Well crumb, two posts in a row without a picture! Luckily I have an exciting video to post if I would just sit down at my computer and get it off my camera. :)

Thank you to all for the sweet comments and emails. I went to two different doctors last week who told me it's "allergy related" and "viral", so there's nothing to be done but ride it out. ~ big sigh ~ But I'm on the mend now and back at work, even if I do have a deep, raspy voice.

The big news in my family is that Brooklyn is crawling now! It started off as more of a scoot, which of course led to us calling it a boot scooting boogy. She's just darling and I love to see her face light up as she sees something she wants and turns around and goes after it.

More later - I mostly wanted to post so y'all know I'm finally ok. Tonight I have training for my new job so I bet the "more later" won't be until tomorrow. :)
