One book at a time? Or more than one? If more, are they different types/genres? Or similar? (We’re talking recreational reading, here—books for work or school don’t really count since they’re not optional.)
I usually have a couple of books going, though they are different genres and formats. I have a novel to read (just dug through my work schlep bag and I forgot my book at home, so can't share what I'm reading right now), some sort of self-improvement or devotional book and I listen to a book while I'm working. Right now I'm feeling pretty hip since my book is on my MP3 player instead of a cd. Yeah, it's the little things. :)
I do know what I'm listening to on the MP3 player - The Friday Night Knitting Club. I've heard both good and bad about the book, but will say that I'm enjoying it as an audiobook.

sounds a lot like me!
Hi, I have a devotional book and then read one novel at a time. When I start a book I can't quit so it usually is a 1 or 2 day thing. Then I put off starting another until I know I have the time. Haven't done audio.
I didn't really like Friday Night KC.
Back on Blossom St was better. Liked the Monica Ferris knitting mysteries.
I've just recently gotten into the "more than 1 book at a time" thing. It works for some people. I don't generally like audio books. I tend to be a very visual person. I think I get more out of books by reading.
Happy Thursday!!
Hi! I just started up BTT myself (last week). I enjoy hearing about the reading personality of others.
I'm a multiple reader as well. For impatient's sake, mostly.
Anyway, howdy and welcome.
I tend to read one novel at a time now, but I also tend to have a stack of them, each just waiting for me to finish the previous one. I still can't quite get myself to try those audiobooks... I just have too much trouble focusing on audio input without a visual to go with it.
I've only recently discovered audio books. It lets me knit and "read" at the same time. Happy BTT!
I need to listen to some audio books. Right now I'm usually reading two at a time, and keep one with me in my purse.
I am a one book at a time reader too (I can't spell monogamy). I had heard bad reviews about the Friday night knitting club - but I really enjoyed it. I hope you do too.
