A funny thing happened while doing dishes by hand - I found myself talking to the Lord a bit more than usual. This prayer has been around forever and I found it to be so true:
Thank God for Dirty Dishes

Thank God for Dirty Dishes,
They have a tale to tell.
While others may go hungry,
We're eating very well.
With home and health and happiness,
I shouldn't want to fuss.
For by this stack of evidence,
God's very good to us.
There is a small part of me that is going to miss the dish washing time because loading a dishwasher just isn't the same. The flip side of this of course is that by receiving a new dishwasher I feel blessed for the provision.
My days of being June Cleaver have come to an end with my new appliance. Time to put away the heels and pearls and come back to the days of Delay Wash, Heated Dry and China Cycle.

I enjoyed this post. I was just telling my neighbor this morning that I AM SO TIRED OF DOING DISHES!! I think I am going to print out this poem and put it by my sink. :)
I like this poem, too. And I like my dishwasher, though I have to re-wash the glasses because of a film, where does that come from. Anyway, you can't have everything. I like the dishwasher.
I love your comment, your attitude and as always your site. It was really cute. I left my june cleaver a long time ago and currently campaining for the new fangled washer and dryer (front loaders)
God Bless
